Cast by the Sun online catalogue

Cast by the Sun (Brisbane) is the first part of a two part exhibition between Queensland College of Art (Brisbane) and Tyler Art School (Philadelphia) academics and higher degree research students shown in Brisbane and in Philadelphia.

The premise of this exhibition is to investigate the role of place in artistic practice. More specifically, is there an assumption that place in art is somehow more evident in photographic form? This exhibition posits that the artists’ experience of place has created a different distinctiveness in each artist’s practice.
